Here, I used twine as the closure for this minibook.
And, here, I used a marquee letter as part of the title for my layout.
So whether, paint, lace, or masking tape is your thing, feel free to post. Repeats are okay as well. From the comments, I will draw a winner Wednesday night at midnight ET, right before the launch of Studio Calico.

I am actually super inspired right now by a large plastic dunkin donuts iced coffee cup! it has tons of bright color swirls and a surfer and just screams summer...

I used a poker chip, on a layout of us playing texas hold em.....
i think everyone knows how obsessed i am with paper stuff found at antique shows...especially ledger papers and ticket stubs =)
I've saved up a really fun collection of girls' clothing tags. I think they'll be cool accents on some fashion/back-to-school pages
On this layout I used a piece out of the yellow pages, good ole' playing cards, and the flower is cut out of a sewing pattern. Can't wait to see the new site btw.

I have used paper fasteners and clips; I, too, have used postage stamps and also real antique buttons and lace are fun!
I've used tickets, clothes brand tags, postcards, playing cards, chopsticks, washers, nails (the kind you use with a hammer), wire, and lots more. It's fun to come up with non-scrapping stuff to use.

I used this strange stuff with holes in it that I found at the fabric store.
I got some clothes from Anthropolgie today... and they were wrapped in some super cute tissue paper that is going to find it's way on a LO very soon.
I used tags from a new pair of jeans, a part of a shopping bag, and pieces cut from an old pair of jeans on this layout: Maurices Jeans
I also like ticket stubs, pages from regular books, and paint chips that I pick up from Home Depot and places like that.
I must remember to start saving my clothing tags! And I love the idea of using a postage stamp on a layout, in fact... I had already planned on doing that soon!
On one of my LO I used Starbucks coffee sleeves to make a 3D effect because I ran out of square thingys (I forgot what it's called)..

Great mini book and that layout design is fantastic!! I haven't gotten to it yet, but will be using part of a placemat from my dd's American Idol kareoke party on a page soon. Again, good luck with the launch...so excited for you both!!:o)

I've recently used a wide sewing elastic in a minibook. It is ribbed, looks really cool. Looked even cooler after I painted it :)

I'm LOVING any type of lace! Thick or thin in an array of colors!
I plan to cover one of my doughters Children books, one made of chipboard and make an album of it when she don't use it anymore.. Re-use instead of bying a raw chipoard book wich probably is more expensive!
I know it seems silly and I got the idea from a project kit, but I used lacey pantyhose to glitter up a layout. Using re--positionable spray adhesive, I coated my paper. I then laid the cut open pantyhose leg part on and stuck it down. Sprinkle glitter in all the openings and shake off excess. Carefully pull the pantyhose off and then fill in the remaining sticky spots with a different glitter color. Only my husband and I know the pattern is actually from some sexy stockings! :)
To set glitter you can spray with hairspray when you are finished.
Well, this isn't really very exciting...but I have some super cool stationary by Amy Bliss that I've used on a layout...
Guess I'm not very non-traditional!! ;)

Wish I could say I'm creative about my scrap supplies. I do use Q-tips to do some of my painting.
