Sorry it's been so long, I really need to get better at this blogging thing. The last 2 weeks have been a blur. I've been on three different trips in a matter of 10 days. First, my grandfather in TX passed away, well, not my grandfather genetically speaking. He and Bertie took care of me when I was a baby and we formed a grandfather-granddaughter relationship throughout the years. I'd definitely say I'm closer to them than my real blood-relatives. He just turned 93 in April and led a wonderful life. Best of all, he was a Christian, but, second best, he was a wonderful gardener. The LO to the right was part of my HOF entry and it was in his honor that I posted it. In the picture below is me, Bertie, and Amber, my sis.
So, from Kentucky to Texas, then from Texas to Nevada for a DM leadership meeting in Lake Tahoe. Okay, I really didn't pack for this as you can see in the pics. It was snowing, and silly me, I thought it was warmer in Nevada than Kentucky this time of year. I just didn't factor in the elevation -- 8000 ft above sea level!!! I went sand-buggying for the first time. Only 2 words to say about that: EXPENSIVE and DIRTY. (even in places you didn't think dirt could find. TMI?)
Then, back closer to home to CKC Nashville on Friday. Whew, my plane was late, so I missed shopping on Friday, but made it to the crop, met the ever so fabulous Jessica Sprague, and shopped with Scarlet on Saturday. Sorry I don't have any pictures. I only took 2 the entire time I was there and they were both horrible. Just picture in your mind a convention center, concrete floors, booths, and lots of middle-aged women bustling around. Got it? That was what I didn't take pictures of.

So, that's it for catch up time. Talk to ya later.

*hugs* April.. Thanks for stopping by!
April, I'm so sorry about your Grandpa. I just lost my Grandma a couple weeks ago. She was a Christian too and lived a good long life, but I still miss her.
Oh man, your sand-buggying photos and story brings back memories. I used to go 3 wheeling in the woods on dirt trails when I was a teenager...I TOTALLY know what you mean about the dirt! :)
