has it really been 3 months already?

You have changed sooooooooooo much since you were born.

Mainly in the cheek area.

I love how you've filled out and have such squishy cheeks and have kept those gorgeous blue eyes. Today, you weighed in at 12 lbs and measured 23.75". I had asked the doctor at your last appointment if you were gaining weight too fast. He said you were at a good weight, you just needed to double your birth weigh by 6 months.

Gulp.

I said, "Well she's almost there now!"

He assuaged my worries by telling me you were small at birth so it's just fine that you've gained what you have. Whew!

You have your daddy's long eyelashes and your mommy's funky eyebrows.

I'm sorry. Didn't mean to pass that along, but I'm afraid I have.
I'll purchase a good pair of tweezers for you tomorrow.

We still can't find socks that fit your feet AND stay on.

Attention Entrepreneurs: There is a market for cute socks that stay on infants' wiggly feet.

You are obsessed with your hands. They stay near your mouth most of the time (so hand-kissers, stay away from Claire please!). You study them and lick them.

You are obsessed with your mermaid toy and have become so much more verbal towards toys and people. When you're awake, you can be heard cooing and gooing almost constantly. I love hearing your sweet voice.

I can't believe how quickly these 3 months have passed and like Stephanie, I'm trying to enjoy "it" and soak everything in.

Also, I'm trying not to buy every cute hairband I find. THAT's the difficult part of having a girl for sure!

  2. Have you tried Trumpette socks? These are the only socks we use because they actually stay one. Especially love the Mary Janes.

Claire is a cutie. I am enjoying "it" too. My little girl is 3 months also.

  3. OMG! She's gorgeous. She sure has changed. Sometimes, when I'm cruising around stores I put headbands on Ethan (6 months) just because they're so cute. Don't tell Daddy! :-)

  11. Oh April, Claire is sooo precious! I was going to suggest the Trumpette socks or the Children's Place makes newborn socks that are super soft. They were the only ones that stayed on Brenna's feet!

  15. Hi April,
Greetings from Australia! Have been following your blog for a while. I know there are these wonderful things called "Sock Ons" from the UK. Not sure if you get them in the US, but here's the link: http://www.sockons.co.uk/
Claire is gorgeous! Congratulations. And thank you for such inspiration!

  18. My sons socks always slipped off his little feet too. I started putting the robeez shoes (or even the less expensive knock offs) on over his socks and everything stayed nicely in place. Warm and protected feet in super cute little moccasin type shoes.

  20. my little harper is a week apart from claire and it's fun to hear what she's up to! i had the sock problem but i went to wal-mart and bought the cheap economy pack of little white fold over socks (with a wide band of elastic around the top) and they stay on perfect. if i have a super cute little pair of socks that match an outfit i just put them on over the white ones and they stay on perfect! hope that helps! she's a doll, with gorgeous eyes!

  21. I bought that hairband the second I found out I was having a girl back in November. I just had to have it. I am a sucker for those too. Etsy is terrible to look at if you love hairbands.

Her eye's are gorgeous btw. So so cute! I can't wait till my little gets here.
