naming the farm

Every farm needs a name, right?

Well, I really wish I cared what our name was, but considering the only place I might see it is when I write a check from that account, I'm not very invested in thinking up a good name.

The good news for me is that Greg is totally engrossed in naming the farm, so I think I'll leave it up to him. He was on an anagram site last night, plugging in names such as "Studio Calico", "Addy," "Jett," "Greg," and "April." and didn't really come up with much. Here's a few, let me know your favorites or if you can think of something better, I'd love to know.
  • Jaded Farm
  • Acoustic Farm
  • Calico Farm
  • AJ Farm (for Addy & Jett)
You see what I mean? I'm in desperate need of help!

ETA: Greg added some more names here

  1. I like Calico farm the best - but being from TX I thought I might offer some other ranch names -

Rockn' F Ranch (hmm though F could be for something bad - so probably not)

    Lazy AG ranch

    Foster ranch

  2. Here's another vote for "Calico Farm".
Our's is Riverbank Farms. It's by the river and the bank owns it. Hahahaha.

  3. I like Calico Farm the best from your list. Having lived in Texas, I get the ranch names, but people in Kentucky may not. My parents' farm is named Hillside Acres. You could do Calico Acres. I drive by a home on my way to work that is called "Spongie Acres." Not sure if that is the correct spelling and I hope you don't know them. I am sure that name means something to them though! Good luck!!

  5. Naming the farm is very important. Has G-man had any fun with this awesome site http://www.whatalovelyname.com/ ? The site can help you choose names for all kinds of things, not just people. Of the listed choices, Calico wins.

  7. I like Calico Farm... our neighborhood is named Dream House Acres and I just love that, it would be a great name for a large bit of property. Hmmmm maybe Inspiration Acres?
